gen alpha tiktok slang 2026

Gen Alpha slang derived from 'hoes,' mostly used to mean girls, a group of girls, or (in the softest version) a crush.

Huzz is what happens when Gen Alpha takes “hoes” and launders it into an all-purpose word for girls. Most innocent form: just a group of girls, and plenty of kids saying it don’t know what it stands for. The softer version works like “boo” or “pookie”: the person you’re talking to, or want to be.

You’ll hear it out loud before you ever see it typed. That’s a middle school word.

The Kai Cenat pipeline

Kai Cenat had been saying it on stream since 2023. Then November 2024 happened: kids started filming themselves walking up to groups of girls, dropping a “Greetings and salutations, Huzz,” and following it with a deadpan question. I watched three of those clips on one lunch break. They’re weirdly committed to the bit, full bow and everything.

Parents found out shortly after, mostly through middle school teacher Philip Lindsay (@mr_lindsay_sped), whose Instagram Reel broke it down for them. Urban Dictionary lists it as a stand-in for hoes, which tells you the root. And yeah, the root is nasty. The greetings videos are still pretty good, though. Fight me.

Huzz in the wild

A kid approaches three girls at the mall food court and bows: “Greetings and salutations, Huzz. May I have a fry?”

@jasonfrom7thgrade: told the huzz i liked her fit today. we are so back

“where the huzz at” “bro you are twelve”

Bruzz, chuzz, gruzz: the whole -uzz universe

The suffix became a Lego brick. Attach it to anything:

  • bruzz: the bros.
  • muzz: mom.
  • gruzz: grandma.
  • tuzz: your teacher.
  • empluzz: an employed huzz. Respect.
  • juzz: Japanese huzz.
  • chuzz: the contested one, joked about as “Chinese huzz” or “chopped huzz,” though posters in the “Ni Hao Chuzz” threads insisted it wasn’t a dig.
  • yunc: YN unc.
  • chopped huzz: an unattractive girl, chopped being the opposite of fine shyt.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does huzz mean on TikTok?

Mostly girls, either a group of them or one specific girl somebody’s into. It blew up through the “Greetings and salutations, Huzz” approach videos in late 2024, and the root is “hoes,” which is why parents keep asking.

Is huzz an insult?

Depends who’s saying it. Most middle schoolers mean it as a neutral word for girls. But the root is the plural of “hoe,” so calling a girl “a huzz” to her face can absolutely land as disrespectful.

What are bruzz and chuzz?

Spin-offs. Bruzz is your boys; chuzz is a community coinage with a disputed meaning. Once huzz took off, -uzz got stapled onto everything: muzz, gruzz, tuzz.

Pronunciation

“HUZZ,” one syllable, rhymes with fuzz.
